A commission might begin with a midnight fountain, a greenhouse that tends its own climate, a garden instrument, or an awkward practical problem nobody sells a good answer to.
- Initial conversation, free. We listen, ask useful questions and decide whether there is a plausible piece of work.
- Paid discovery. Research, site study, technical options, risks, partners and an outline budget. You keep the resulting brief.
- Design and prototype. The idea becomes testable before it becomes expensive.
- Build and care. We coordinate fabrication and specialist trades, commission the work and agree how it will be supported.
Not every idea should be built. A good discovery phase can end with a smaller, better answer, or an honest no.
